The sunny weather here in Bdx reminds me of those glorious days in St Helena walking the dogs through the vineyards ( where please note there were numerous signs to pick up the dog poo .....hope the person does not come to my vineyards , she will find all sorts of things in the French countryside ....).
So we are going to have our first meeting of the Bdx women , dates in the process of being formed , tasting Semillon and or Sauvignon from anywhere . Will post results .
We have just finish bottling our rosé today , all under screw cap , destined for the UK market , where the crowd of 20-30 somethings devour it at great speed , fortunately for us . Tomorrow I will in the chai doing the first soutirage of the reds that have undergone malo in the barrel , apparently a good time according to the lunar calander .
oh , by the way , had an interesting wine yesterday made by the sommelier who is the barrel rep for Berthomieu barrels , aged for 36 months in new oak , and get this , no sulphur at all used ! Was excellent .
